The recent year was difficult for me, my family, my friends, and everyone around, with most in-person interactions still being suspended, path back to home country being restricted, and mental stress caused by quarantine. Those are extraordinary moments that most of us never dreamed about. But I remain confident with all of you around me who will turn up whenever I need it.
#staysafe
My Strategy:
-Exercise daily: stay positive and mindful for the day
-Wash hands: for 20 seconds each time
-Wear a mask: to protect you, and your community. Please be a role model of others
-Acknowledge other’s emotion and express empathy: pandemic would be very difficult for
many, some people ends up in bad attitude, we shall always take this into consideration.
-Take advantage of this unique opportunity: Rest, spend time with family, build
understanding.
-Do not leave home if feeling sick: unless for medical reasons. I felt sick twice last summer when stuck on campus, though I didn't get COVID-19, but it is always better to protect others.

Facing the Uncertainty
World changes quicker than I thought.
Sky became unreachable
As an aviation fan, I enjoyed following and predicting the future of the airline industry, and believed that this industry would never fail. While my friends and I were seeing evidence on a high standard among airlines, the COVID-19 changes the trend. The market is walloped and might take longer to recover. The market has challenged, taught, and inspired me—not only professionally, but personally, too. It is always important to leave with options, as the world changes, more frequently than we can imagine. This time is confusing. Some of us are enjoying a lengthy holiday, and some may wish for reopening for various reasons. Although this is an ambiguous time—likely knowing you’ll be heading off to healthy life in the fall, but not knowing how—try not to get lost in the haze of waiting.
Theory needed update
I’ve been forced to rethink established economic theories and consider the value of new ones. I was drawn to economics because it provides an analytical framework and a quantitative approach for virtually every societal problem that plagues our world. In a static economic equilibrium supply-demand analysis, we see a simplified model. However, as we consider market expectations and responses in light of the current situation, we see a dynamic equilibrium that varies in the short term and long term. By reconsidering each assumption that the model relies on, it becomes increasingly complicated and thus approximates reality.
I think we need...
to release stress, to give hope and to create life.
